Andy is playing baseball at Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, MO -- that's southeast of Rolla, almost to Arkansas. So far he is enjoying it, even the 5 hour practices, and he tells us he is hitting better than he ever has before. Because of that, he's choosing to focus on his hitting and fielding rather than to work on pitching... but we've encouraged him to be sure the coach knows that he has, and can, pitch pretty well. I've posted his fall schedule below in case anyone is nearby and wants to catch a game! In the spring, they'll travel to Florida for a few games during spring break, so hopefully some of the southern relatives can see him play (and maybe we'll even be able to make it into a vacation!)

Isaac Learns to Ride a Bike

Isaac learned how to ride a bike this year -- finally! A few days later, he was riding that little starter bike all over Camp Windemere at our family reunion, and Grandma and Grandpa Hall noticed that he really needed a bigger bike, so they helped get him one for his birthday. Off he goes!

Dan, Andy, Becky and I returned to California for Trinity Lutheran School's final award banquet and graduation. It would have been Becky's graduating class. It was sad to see the end of TLS after 35 years, but wonderful to see so many people who positively influenced our lives while we lived in California.

Summer in Missouri

"Floating" is one of Missouri's summer pasttimes. This time, Elizabeth, Dan and I managed to stay afloat the entire trip (on our first trip last summer, we tipped over!). On this trip, we took along the Staurland family from Norway, who visited for a week.
